About Mi Technovation

Incorporated under the name of Mi Equipment Holdings Sdn Bhd in June 2017 to prep for IPO, the Company has successfully listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad on 20th June 2018 and changed its name to Mi Technovation Berhad in December 2018. In 2019, the Group completed the construction of its Bayan Lepas, Penang plant which became operational with expanded production capacity by fourfold. In the same year, the construction of second factory in Batu Kawan has also commenced. In 2020, the Group expanded its global footprint by setting up technology centres in Taiwan and China and completed the engineering centre setup in Korea for operations. With our Group's ongoing global expansion, we continued to expand our manufacturing facilities alongside R&D across Korea, Taiwan and China in 2021. To further strengthen its position in semiconductor industry, the Group marked a new milestone in April 2021 with the successful acquisition of Accurus Scientific Co. Ltd & its subsidiaries which signified the Group's penetration into material business segment. The Group currently operates under two business units namely the Semiconductor Equipment Business Unit (SEBU) and Semiconductor Material Business Unit (SMBU).

SEBU run under Mi Equipment trademark with global footprint across 5 countries, i.e. Taiwan, China, Korea and USA besides the headquarter in Penang, Malaysia. It is involved in the manufacturing and sales of the semiconductor manufacturing equipment, paired with smart factory automation solutions for Industrial 4.0, with product portfolio comprises equipment for advanced packaging die sorting and taping, vision inspection on wafer and package, precision bonding as well as final test process.

On the other hand, SMBU is run under Accurus Scientific trademark with physical presence in Tainan (Taiwan) being the headquarter, Ningbo (China) and Singapore. It is mainly involved in the manufacturing and sale of solder spheres (also known as solder balls), a key assembly and packaging material in the semiconductor industry.
